List are used to assign leads to a campaign, once the List is created leads may be uploaded to it. Once leads have been uploaded to a list, the list may be assigned to a campaign.

To Create a List in Vicidial:

1.  Log in to the Vicidial admin page.
2. Click the Lists link at the top of the page.
3. Click the Add A New List link at the top of the page.
4. Fill in the fields appropriately according to the guide lines below.
5. Click submit to save the list.

Complete list of Vicidial list options 

 List ID - This is the numerical name of the list, it is not editable after initial submission, must contain only numbers and must be between 2 and 8 characters in length. Must be a number greater than 100.

List Name - This is the description of the list, it must be between 2 and 20 characters in length.

List Description - This is the memo field for the list, it is optional.

List Change Date - This is the last time that the settings for this list were modified in any way.

List Last Call Date - This is the last time that lead was dialed from this list.

Campaign - This is the campaign that this list belongs to. A list can only be dialed on a single campaign at one time.

Active - This defines whether the list is to be dialed on or not.

Reset Lead-Called-Status for this list - This resets all leads in this list to N for "not called since last reset" and means that any lead can now be called if it is the right status as defined in the campaign screen.

VICIDIAL DNC List - This Do Not Call list contains every lead that has been set to a status of DNC in the system. Through the LISTS - ADD NUMBER TO DNC page you are able to manually add a number to this list so that it will not be called by campaigns that use the internal DNC list.

Uploading Leads to a List in Vicidial

1. Login to the Vicidial admin page.
2. Make sure you have created the list you would like to assign the leads to. You may upload leads to an existing list with leads, the new leads will be added to the existing ones.
3. Click the List link at the top of the page.
4. Click on the Load New Leads link at the top of the page to get to the lead loader. Here you may upload leads in a basic text pipe-delimited, tab-delimited, CSV, or simple Excel file.
5. The standard Vicidial format for the Lead file is:
   1. Vendor Lead Code - shows up in the Vendor ID field of the GUI
   2. Source Code - internal use only for system admins and database administrators
   3. List ID - the list number that these leads will show up under
   4. Phone Code - the prefix for the phone number - 1 for US, 44 for UK, 61 for AUS, etc
   5. Phone Number - must be at least 8 digits long and no more than 10 digits long. Digits only.
   6. Title - title of the customer - Mr. Ms. Mrs, etc...
   7. First Name
   8. Middle Initial
   9. Last Name
   10. Address Line 1
   11. Address Line 2
   12. Address Line 3
   13. City
   14. State - limited to 2 characters
   15. Province
   16. Postal Code
   17. Country
   18. Gender
   19. Date of Birth
   20. Alternate Phone Number
   21. Email Address
   22. Security Phrase
   23. Comments
6. Once your leads are in this format you may upload them using the Standard Vicidial option. Otherwise you may upload the leads using the Custom layout option. Using the Custom layout options you must map each field in your file to the corresponding Vicidial field.
7. Once your leads file is ready, click the browse button and select the file from your computer.
8. Enter the List ID number for the leads in the List ID Override field.
9. Enter the dialing prefix for the country the leads are in, for the US enter 1, for international calls enter 011.
10. If you would like to scrub duplicate leads select n option from the Lead Duplicate Check drop-down box.
11. In most cases the Lead Time Zone Lookup should not be changed.
12. When you are ready to upload the file click the Submit button.
13. If you used the standard Vicidial layout, you should see the reults of the upload in green text near the middle of the page. If you used custom layout the next screen will be the field mapping page, map your fields and click Submit.
14. Go to the list page and clickthe list number to verify the leads have been added properly. It can take up to 1 minute for leads to be loaded into the campaign's hopper.
