To configure Aastra VoIP phones to connect to the Freevoice PBX you must know the IP address of your server and extensions for the phones must be created in FreePBX and added in the endpoint manager. In many cases the phone will need to be reset to factory defaults, in order to accept the endpoint manager settings, see the bottom article. If this is a new installation, or you have changed the server ip make sure the setup-aastra command has been run from the linux cli. Resetting Aastra Phones to Factory Default
Aastra 9143i & 9xxxi Configuration Server Setup:*Note: If the phone has firmware version 2.4 or higher it should automatically perform this next step. When the phone reboots after the steps above check for the extension number to show up on the display, that means the phone has configured itself. Otherwise perform the steps below.
